If you find yourself journeying through Botswana, then you are surely going to be blessed with abundant photographic opportunities.

Otherwise known as the Delta, this unique region in Northern Botswana, is one of the country’s most diverse, breathtaking natural wonders.
Here, visitors can photograph a wealth of varied birdlife and wildlife, as well as the beautiful expansive grasslands themselves that make this wetland region so famous and densely populated by wildlife.

Snap Pics at a Forgotten Ghost Town, Kolmanskop, Namibia
[vc_empty_space height=”53px”][vc_column_text]
We have perhaps saved the best for last because Kolmanskop, a forgotten ghost town in the diverse land of Namibia, is one of the most unique, amazing places in the world to photograph.
Where once there was a famous diamond town – today, visitors to this unusual town in the Namib Desert find desolate, eerie buildings that have been reclaimed, first by the desert and then, some years thereafter, by Namibia as a quirky tourist destination.
This is because most of the abandoned town is rundown and filled with the sands of time… literally!
Situated in southern Namibia, a few kilometres inland from the port town of Lüderitz, this famously forgotten town was once one of the richest towns in Africa, yet, over time, its inhabitants abandoned it, leaving it to the charge of the unforgiving landscape.
In the 1980s, it saw a revival of a kind when the ghost town – and some of its houses – were rediscovered and restored, making it ideal for visitors to marvel at and explore.
Today, you can enjoy guided tours and in the process, witness this photogenic forgotten place for yourself.
The photos taken in this town are truly iconic so be sure to add your own to the mix, as you enjoy photographing one of the world’s most well-known ghost towns in Kolmanskop.
While you are visiting Namibia, some other photographic highlights include Sossusvlei (especially Dead Vlei), Fish River Canyon and Etosha National Park to name only a few.
