Khwai is a huge Concession area, located in the Moremi Game Reserve and has abundant wildlife species. It offers high-end safari lodging, game walks, boat rides and canoe rides. Adventure guests then depart on a private charter flight to the Makgadikgadi pans for an overnight stay.
Encompassing mist belt grasslands, thornveld and river frontage, Babanango Game Reserve is a bush lover’s paradise, and where the adventurous come to experience all things safari.
The forest is home to at least 9 species of primates, 17 insectivores (of which 16 are endemic tenrecs), 7 rodents (of which 5 are endemic recombines), 5 carnivores (of which 4 are endemic), 92 birds, 24 reptiles and 30 amphibians, in particular several species of chameleon, lizard, fringed geckos, the blue kingfisher vintsi, beautiful orchids and epiphytes.
The rewilding aim is to restore a wildlife migration route (notably elephant from the past) between Majete, Lengwe, Mbave and the Elephant marsh (now a RAMSAR site) in Southern Malawi.
Grant's passion for rewilding is well known in Mozambique and adventure clients will get to know about the USAID/Bio fund support to the reserves/game farms application process, in particular in the Lumbomo Conservancy area (on both sides of the border).

Some of the “plains game” and antelope species resident in the area are Giraffe, Eland, Kudu, Waterbuck, Sable, Wilderbeast, Zebra, Impala, warthog and duiker. All the major predators occur on the open plains, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, Painted Dog, Jackal and smaller cats can be seen from time to time.
