Here we focus on two concessions; Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi.
The Queen Elizabeth National Park is among the most diverse parks in the world. The Amagara Concession is located on a Ugandan Wildlife Authority (UWA) concession in the Kyambura Reserve – which lies directly east of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The concession lies on the Kazinga channel and is directly reachable by boat from the Mweya landing strip in under an hour. The trip along the river is stunning with wildlife observed from the river including Rhino, Elephants, Crocodile and many bird varieties. From the lodge, walking trips can be made into Kyambura Reserve and to the chimpanzee habitat at Kyambura Gorge.
The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in South West Uganda
The Amagara Concession is located on land just on the east border of BINP very close to the park access point. Amagara owns the land option, which consists of privately owned community land and a UWA concession. Amagara is working closely with the community and UWA in order to enhance the benefits to the community, which includes people of the Batwa Tribe, an endangered people’s group.
