Camp Kalahari

3 nights

Camp Kalahari sits among acacias and Mokolwane palms on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. A relaxed, family-friendly camp, ideal for those seeking fun and adventure, without sacrificing comfort or style.

The camp is an eclectic mix of original African furnishings paired with traditional campaign furniture and colonial antiques. Guests can relax in the traditional lounge/dining area, or cool off in the large swimming pool. All 12 spacious Meru tents – 6 twin, 4 double and 2 family tents, are en-suite and furnished with rich textiles, Moroccan kilims, and four poster beds.

Guests can enjoy a range of year-round activities: Get up close and personal with a gang of friendly habituated meerkats; walk with Zu/’hoasi Bushmen for a glimpse into their ancient culture; game drive to experience unique desert wildlife; visit the Fallen Baobab, campsite of Livingstone & Selous and one of Africa’s three largest, oldest trees.

Dry season only: quad bike across the lunar expanse of the pans; lie out on the pans as the sun sets; watch the planetarium show unfold with horizon-to-horizon stars.
Wet season only: experience the spectacular migration of zebra and wildebeest, the second biggest in Africa and the last remaining in Southern Africa.

Wilderness Chitabe

3 nights

Wilderness Chitabe’s location places it at the heart of a complex and beautiful mosaic of habitats, and this diversity results in Wilderness Chitabe being one of the most storied of all Botswana’s areas. Experienced, passionate guides are inspired by the intricate and dynamic landscapes to deliver wildlife experiences few other locations can match.

Eight elevated, meru-style guest tents provide the perfect human habitat, while a stroll along the elevated walkways connecting them to the main area is a safari experience in itself. Day and night drives, and guided walks, showcase the varied wildlife and landscapes of the Okavango.

INSIDER'S TIP: Learn more about the African wild dog packs of the area; if you’re lucky you’ll see some of these endangered carnivores.

2

Wilderness Seba

2 nights

As a "combination" Okavango Delta location, Wilderness Seba offers enthralling wildlife encounters from both land- and water-based activities. In addition to game drives and boating, walking safaris are another exceptional way to get up close to your subject at eye level. Look out for tracks and signs, and reconnect with nature on foot.

The camp’s lagoon-side setting hints at the rich wildlife experience to come. Eight tents, include two designed for families, with interconnecting bedrooms and plunge pools. Access the bush by game drive, mokoro or guided walks, or join your children for a bush cooking or photography lesson.

INSIDER'S TIP: Game viewing at Wilderness Seba is excellent, with lions and leopards, a chance to see roan, and hyena cubs when the resident clan is denning.
