Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge is located just before Karatu when driving to Ngorongoro.
It is a very intimate property with 13 luxury tents with inside and outside showers and 8 concrete building rooms with inside showers.

A perfect place to stay before or after a day in the Ngorongoro crater, lake manyara, serengeti or tarangire national parks. Using Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge as a base for a few days you can also visit Tarangire National Park (about 1.5 hrs away) and Lake Eyasi (1hr away) as well as explore the region around Karatu where there are many hiking/walking opportunities and possibilities for cultural exchanges.

During the colonial times, the place where it stands was first a German and then a British gold mining station. In the midst of breathtaking nature, you can enjoy pure tranquillity.

Ideally located mid way between Moshi and Arusha, we pride ourselves for having one of the best panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru. Permanent luxury tents. Located only 10 minutes from Tarangire National Park, Lake Burunge Tented Camp consists of 30 rooms with en suite facilities. Among them 6 family tents, that consist in two interconnected rooms.

Nearest Airstrip: Tarangire/Manyara 1 hour and 20 minutes away.

Activities: Game drives in Tarangire National Park, guided nature walks and / or visit a boma (village) to interact with the local Mbuwge people and learn about their culture.
